Luke Ball to FOX News: "This is President Trump's Congress"

Staff Writer

Saturday on FOX News LIVE, Compass Strategies CEO and Republican strategist Luke Ball slammed Senate Democrats who planned to slow-walk President Trump's nominees and said that Congress needed to act as quickly as possible to codify Trump's executive orders into law.

“Chuck Schumer has said he doesn't think we need to expedite any of these nominees or these votes unless there is bipartisan, unanimous support across the board for all of the nominations that have been put in place" Ball said. "But I mean, nothing has passed with unanimous bipartisan support in Congress except maybe post office renamings on occasion.. So that standard is not realistic."

"Chuck Schumer was the one who on the floor in 2021, was saying 'we do not need to hold up Biden’s nominations.' And Republicans were expeditious in the past Congress about getting a lot of these Biden nominees confirmed. So, I think that hopefully the dam should start breaking. But things need to speed up a little bit."

Ball also stated that Congress must act as quickly as possible to back up President Trump's executive orders and make them law.

"If I were at the GOP meeting this week," Ball said, "let's set aside reconciliation for a moment. We need to have a conversation about codifying all of Trump’s executive orders. It is the blueprint for how the administration should operate. Reconciliation is crucial, but we also need to make sure that every other aspect of this government is put in place. "

"I worked on the Hill for five years. If I were in this meeting, I would be having a conversation about just having how we format these executive orders into pieces of legislation to get them across the finish line."
